The Meinl Backbeat Bass Cajon packs a big low-end "thump" with its extra-deep bass, which comes from a factory-installed ported sound hole on the back that boosts low-end frequencies, giving it a kick drum-like effect. Two fixed internal snare sets provide a crisp snare effect to mimic drum set grooves, and the hardwood playing surface offers a warm tone and sensitive snare response. The cajon is finished in a graphic "Jack of Spades" design, giving it a unique look compared to standard wood. The body is made of modern composite material, ensuring durability and a clear tone, and its sound-reflecting properties help project the notes. This cajon is versatile, suitable for use at open mic nights, coffeehouse gigs, outdoor jams, or in praise bands.
Measuring 11 3/4" W x 19 1/2" H x 11 3/4" D and weighing 11 lbs, this cajon is not made in China. The factory-installed ported sound hole on the back provides extra-deep bass that fills the room, giving the cajon a deep backbeat that moves people and music more than almost anything, even in quieter acoustic gigs while staying within the volume range cajons are designed for.
