With its clear attack note and medium sustain, the hand-brushed steel alloy construction drives the sound. There is a selection of Meinl Cowbell Beaters available to use with this bell, each sold separately. This cowbell measures 7 ¾" L x 6 ½" W x 2 ¼" H, with a low pitch that gets lower as the length and mouth size increase.
The vibrant sound of this cowbell works well live or in the studio with any style, and it's easy to hold. By using your non-dominant hand to hold the bell near the tapered end, you can get a resonant sound, and you can control the sustain by moving your hand closer to the mouth for a dampening effect.
