QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP: Meinl crafts this cajon in Europe using 100% Baltic birch wood, the same material used in high-end drum sets for players serious about sound. It is made without cheap, glued-on, plasticky laminates that only look like wood.
DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE: The Baltic birch playing surface delivers a punchy bass tone with about as much volume as an acoustic guitar. Inside the cajon are two sets of fixed coiled steel snare wires that provide a crisp sound. The cajon comes fully assembled.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL: The corners of the playing surface are rounded and sanded together with the resonating body, resulting in defined slap tones. The two pieces meet flush, providing a great feel for the hands.
