The Meinl Jumbo Djembe's heavy low-end bass can be felt across a room, creating serious boom, far more than even Meinl's own traditional djembes, without overstepping the volume range that djembes are designed for. Deep, rhythmic bass moves people and music more than just about anything else, and now you can bring that feeling to acoustic gigs and drum circles while staying within the appropriate volume.
The synthetic head is built into an extra-thick hoop, allowing low tones to develop into super deep, resonant bass, while the large synthetic body projects both bass and high notes with a classic djembe sound. Steel tension rods make it easy to tune or change the head, and a tuning key is included to quickly tighten or loosen the rods.
The 100% synthetic all-weather body and head are perfect for traveling and playing outdoors, as the lightweight material is not temperamental with weather and is easy to carry around. The Jumbo Djembe measures 10" W x 20 1/2" H and weighs 7 lbs, with a head diameter of 10".
