Meinl Percussion Snarecraft Pickup Snare Cajon Box Drum with Electronics for Amp or PA System
When extra amplification is needed, these MEINL Percussion Pickup Cajons from the Snarecraft and Woodcraft Professional lines allow you to dial-up your cajon volume and sound. Equipped with three Piezo pickups, two for snare sounds and the other for bass sounds, each cajon comes with a volume and tone knob to help you find your perfect mix. A quarter-inch cable port enables you to send your signal through any amp or PA system.
FACTORY INSTALLED PICKUPS: These cajons come with three internal Piezo pickups that let you control volume and tone through a PA system or amplifier, allowing you to turn up your sound in any venue and dial-in your desired tone.
WHY IT MATTERS: Cajons aren't naturally loud, so if you play with larger combos or in bigger venues, you'll need a volume boost to be heard. These pickups lift the ceiling of normal cajon applications, enabling you to cut through the mix.
BE SMART: Crafted in Europe from 100% Baltic birch wood, the same material used in high-end drum sets for players serious about sound, this cajon is made with no cheap, glued-on, plasticky laminates that only look like wood.
HOW IT WORKS: The cajon is equipped with two sets of fixed coiled steel snare wires for a crisp sound. Two pickups are placed on the snare zones, and the other on the bass area, to produce the most natural tone. You can play it without using the pickups if desired.
OF NOTE: The pickups don't require batteries to work; simply plug into an amp or PA with a quarter-inch cable, adjust the dials, and start playing (cable not included).
ZOOM IN: There are two dials and two quarter-inch jacks: VOLUME to set your levels, TONE to adjust for more bass or snare, OUTPUT to send your signal to an amp or PA, and LINK to join other Meinl Percussion passive pickup instruments through the cajon's system.
