For beginners, the Meinl Headliner Djembe provides an accessible entry point into the world of percussion. The shell of the Meinl Headliner Djembe is hand-made from a single piece of solid mahogany from certified managed forests, beautifully hand-carved and suitable for decoration in the home or studio. The djembe comes pre-tuned and ready to play, with the West African Mali Weave rope tuning system holding a long-lasting pitch. The ropes are pre-stretched, ensuring the instrument sounds great right away, with tuning instructions provided.
The mahogany shell measures 12" wide by 24" tall and weighs approximately 15.4 lbs, while the goat skin head measures 12" with a 10" playing area.
