When extra amplification is needed, dial-up your cajon volume and mix your tone with the Meinl pickup cajons. Available from the Snarecraft and Woodcraft Professional lines, these cajons are equipped with passive Piezo pickups for both snare and bass tone. Each cajon comes with a volume and tone knob so you can find your perfect mix. A quarter-inch cable jack allows you to send your signal through any amp or PA system (cables not included). Additionally, this cajon is equipped with a quarter-inch "link" jack where can link other Meinl passive pickup instruments through this cajon's system and control their output with the cajon's dials. This eliminates the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup.

Ideal for any plugged-in outdoor show, large venue or intimate acoustic coffee house set, the Meinl Pickup Cajon is extraordinarily versatile for any setting. Constructed with a striking makah burl wood frontplate and black Baltic birch body that produces a punchy, warm sound with depth and sensitivity. Internal fixed custom micro-coiled steel cajon strings are fitted to span against the playing surface to produce a snare effect that complements the cajon's natural bass notes. Great for finger rolls, deep back beats or brush patterns. This cajon measures 11 ¾" W x 19 ¾" H x 12" D.

The Meinl Pickup Cajon comes with three internal Piezo pickups that let you control volume and tone through a PA system or amplifier; turn up your sound in any venue and dial-in your tone. Cajons aren't naturally loud, so if you play with larger combos or in bigger venues, you'll need a volume boost to be heard; these pickups lift the ceiling of normal cajon applications so you can cut through the mix.

The cajon is equipped with two sets of fixed micro-coiled steel cajon strings for snare effect; two pickups are placed near the strings and the other on the bass area to produce the most natural tone (you can play without using the pickups). The cajon body is crafted from Baltic birch wood, which is also used in high-end drum sets for players serious about sound; then it's finished with a highly responsive makah burl frontplate.

The pickups don't require batteries to work; just plug into an amp or PA with a quarter-inch cable, adjust the dials, and start playing (cable not included). There are two dials and two quarter-inch jacks; VOLUME: set your levels, TONE: adjust for more bass or snare, OUTPUT: send your signal to an amp or PA, LINK: join other Meinl Percussion passive pickup instruments through the cajon's system.
