The Meinl Snarecraft professional cajons offer players a focused sound and wide dynamic range, combining articulate rhythmic punctuation with a warm tonal quality. Crafted from Baltic birch wood, these Cajons respond with a punchy low-end thud and crisp slap tones.
The highly expressive snare sounds come from adjustable snares that can be dialed-in using the knob located on the side of the Cajon. Turning the knob changes the amount of pressure the snares have, altering their sensitivity, and they can also be turned completely off. Rounded corners on the playing surface provide total comfort while maximizing the player's touch.
With the option to play with a crisp snare tone or without snare for a hollow conga/bongo effect, the Meinl Snarecraft Cajons offer two different-sounding instruments in one unit. The player can instantly adjust the sound to fit the mood or song, thanks to the mechanical dial that controls the internal sets of coiled steel snare wires.
Crafted with a 9-ply Baltic birch body and a walnut frontplate, the Meinl Snarecraft Cajons produce a rich, crisp, and full wood tone. The frontplate is formed to match the body one-to-one, ensuring outstanding sound and feel.
The rounded top corners provide exceptional hand contact with more comfort, and they also make it easier to achieve precise sound with cutting slap tones. Measuring 11 ¾" W x 19 ¾" H x 12" D and weighing 11 lbs, the full-size Meinl Snarecraft Cajons have enough volume for any room and are built to last with a solid frame that supports adults.
These Cajons are versatile, suitable for use alongside guitars at acoustic shows, with worship music, in the studio, or at outdoor jams. Four solid silicone feet keep the Cajon stable, avoid scratches, and eliminate vibrations on any surface.
