When extra amplification is needed, the Meinl Pickup Cajon is the ideal solution. Available from the Snarecraft and Woodcraft Professional lines, these cajons come equipped with passive Piezo pickups for both snare and bass tone, allowing you to dial-up your cajon volume and mix your tone through any amp or PA system.
Constructed in Europe with a Baltic birch wood frontplate and body, the Meinl Pickup Cajon produces a punchy, warm sound with depth and sensitivity. Internal fixed sets of snare wires (the same type found on snare drums) are fitted against the playing surface to create a snare effect that complements the cajon's natural bass notes, making it great for finger rolls, deep back beats, or brush patterns.
The cajon features two dials and two quarter-inch jacks: the VOLUME dial allows you to set your levels, while the TONE dial lets you adjust for more bass or snare. The OUTPUT jack sends your signal to an amp or PA, and the LINK jack allows you to join other Meinl Percussion passive pickup instruments through the cajon's system, eliminating the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup.
Measuring 11 3/4" W x 19" H x 11 3/4" D and weighing 9 lbs, the Meinl Pickup Cajon has enough volume for any room, and its solid frame is built to last, supporting adults and children alike.
